What's the point of Hod Sword for Monks now?

I use SB before aggroing Ataxes so i barely have enough time to kill nightmares.

Why is Hod sword good if u have to switch to a rod to kill nightmares?

I personally would predict the sword would get u killed in UW.

the sword, when used by monks, is not used for fighting, but for the extra energy. basically, it enables you to get 17nrg unconditionally (with an offhand), which is 2nrg more than a staff, and still enables you to have a +20% enchant bonus. therefor, it's very likely to be used by prot monks.
