Hi, Advice from experienced players is appriciated!
I would like your advice as to what primary I should choose! So far the two arguments I have heard is that
- nec/ele is much better for the Under World
- ele/nec is better b/c primary storage is much better then soul reaping (esp in pvp)
Basically I like all aspects of the game: pvp, pve, farming, etc. just to take into account when you advise.
Please give reason and explaination along with your advices. Thank you very much in advance!

at top levels i have heard soul reaping can give very good energy.
having said that i am having a lot of fun with an ele/necro using just the blood line of skills for healing while doing damage, and fire/energy storage.
only level 8 but having fun so far

Um...your title...its funny.
Anyways, I've been N/E since beta. Fun stuff. Never tried E/N.
Personally, I would try to decide what primary attribute you like better, and what look you like better and then go for that one.

well my advice would b 2 make N/E and then do all of pre with it and see how u work with it and then make a E/N and do the pre and delete the 1 u dont like and stick with the 1 u do like

I would say ele for the sheer amount of energy you can maintain. in the other hand, if you plan to do minions, use a necro because the sup runes wll be invaluable.

Runes and armor are the biggest difference - only a primary can get an attribute over 12 (other than % chances). If you really want to be a necro, make it primary, if ele, likewise.
Soul Reaping is excellent in PvE.
Energy Storage is excellent for any play.
Minions require primary necro to be effective.
Either will work, just your preference.

But I'd like E/N for PVE. Energy Storage will allow you not to worry about soul reaping in the first place. I liked all the E/N's I've played with, most of them run the MF build, or a nuke heavy/degen curses.
That's just me though..

Take, as an example, my minion build necro running at 16 death, 15 soul reaping. Lets say that an average lifespan for a Bone fiend I am running is about 4 minutes? And lets say that once rolling I have roughly 24 fiends up. That is a turnover of approximately 1 fiend every 10 seconds. That also means, (since I am maintaining a steadystate) that I am killing roughly 1 creature every 10 seconds, for 2 deaths per 10 seconds. So, with no need for an energy skill I am generating the equivalent of 9 additional pips of energy (30 energy per 10 seconds). I can add minions to the build for better energy gain, they are two per corpse, and cycle a bit faster, plus provide body blocking. My killing rate doesn't really change much, but it means cycling more minions, so it is more energy coming through, and in fact I actually gain energy with minions (they cost 25 to raise, netting me 30 when they die, so it actually makes it easier to run).
You simply cannot maintain that with an E/N, and you'd have fiends 4 levels lower than mine. You cannot run a truly effective minion build with anything but a necromancer.
