Help! The game caught me farming!

Hi guys,

I am pretty new to farming, and my E/Me had recently acquired the skill-set necessary to farm Minotaurs in Elona/Augury using the a-echoed Mist Form build. I had been farming casually on-and-off for about a week in Elona, and I was quite happy with the results. I did not get any great drops, but I made about 15-20K in all by selling to the merchant.

Today, suddenly, while I was blasting away at the Mino's, I get a tip that goes something like "If you continue to kill monsters in the same area in a map, your loot will be nerfed... yada yada"... Basically, it informed me that I was caught red-handed and I will be screwed. The next time I tried my routine, I got about 1/3 the drops I usually do.

That's not fair! I know that people have 100's of K's of gold, and I can't even have 20K??? Is there any way to reset whatever counter the game has been using to track my nefarious activities? What if I complete the Elona mission once? Will that reset my counter, or will it simply allow me to farm *once* before pulling the plug on me again?

Meh...I got that message on sand drakes once; I think basically you just have to lay off for a while. Farm somewhere else. :P

Unfortunately, I couldn't get a screenshot... the message appeared as a tip inside a large blue box on the left half of the screen, similar to those that appear pre-searing when the game is teaching you how to do stuff. It definitely appeared to be an automatic message.

Out of curioisty do you know how long you were farming in this way before the message appeared?

From what I understand, if you kill "X" amount of the same monster within "Y" amount of time, your drops get nerfed. Just lay off for about an hour or two and go back, should be back to normal.

This has been answered many times before. It only happens when you farm a particular area and not the whole map over and over again.
