I was wondering whether IW will work with attack skills that are inspecific of type? Yes, I know IW does no actual melee damage. I want to know if it would work with, for example, distracting blow.

According to the wording of Distracting Blow, it should still interrupt through IW, because unlike most warrior attack skills, it does not say "if this attack hits..." i n the skill description.

But the only way to know for sure is to test it. Which is exactly what I suggest you do.
