My Warrior

Well I have a level 20 warrior and he's good done everything, but more importantly not the point. So I have him on Axe right now. And I was looking to see if maybe I should switch. Here are my points:

Sword - No offense to all you sword guys, but to me it seems that every warrior is sword, to common to me.

Axe - Hardly anyone is axe, great skills look cool.

Hammer - No one is hammer, good skills and such.

So I was thinking of maybe hammer but thats just idea. What do you guys think?

Hammers are awesome for dealing damage, but for PvE I usually tank and prefer to have the shield.

axe isnt common? axe is like the most common spec for pvp wars. dont have a lot of experience with hammer, but for organized pvp it seems like it would be good. the skills hammer has would be complimented nicely by different classes taking advanted of the states that hammer puts targets in. most random groups would never take advantage of it, which is why you don't see many hammer wars in random arenas... knockdown doesn't do anything if your the only one attacking someone.

True. Okay I will try out hammer, see if I like it. I need to buy a hammer, though I am not spending to much money on it, because you know. If I don't like it then, well screwed my self out of xx money. So yeah, but real quick, what elite should I have?

i usually go with devestating hammer for kd, but if you're purely for interupts, dwarven battle stance is nice too

backbreaker is one hell of a knockdown, but 10 adrenalin takes forever to charge up :P

I used swords for ~200 hours of warrior'ing, and switched to Axe. I cannot be more pleased. The skills IMO are more versatile, and just more fun to play with.

Cleave > Eviscerate > Final Thrust > Galrath Slash > Executioner's Strike > Hundred Blades

The only time I use a hammer is when I'm bored and doing W/E Kd/As in Comp Arenas to pass the time.

i do believe you missed imo, the best hammer elite out there. Earthshaker+belly smash + crude swing ftw!

Sword - Very good PVE condition afflicter.
Axe - Very good PVE spike damage
Hammer - Very good PVE knockdowns/disabling opponents for a period of time.

I see alot more Axe warriors then sword warriors anymore. Hammer is the less common because you have to drop shields/focii to wield a two-hander.

I use them all, whenever I need to switch. My full bottom bag is full of weapons allowing me the best mobility I need for the area I'm currently in.

Well, first, I disagree with your statistics. From what I've seen, most people like sword in the early game (sword ends up a little bit ahead of axe by about crystal desert skill wise, since your best skill, final thrust, is not elite, while axe has to wait till the last mission to get eviscerate), but that said, by the end of the game, once you get eviscerate (or maybe even cleave...), or start going PvP, everyone uses axe. Honestly, you will probably never be able to get into a group for tombs as a sword warrior at the present time. Hammer is fairly uncommon in PvE, partly because some monsters seem to be immune to knockdown all the time, which limits their usefulness, partly because in the end of the game, warriors are mainly used as tanks and aren't primary damage dealers anymore, and the loss of the shield is significant. In PvP, hammers are great for causing grief to casters, and some groups do call on them for that purpose. From my experience as a monk and mesmer, hammer warriors are much scarier than axe ones.

[edit] If you don't want to spend much money on this, look around the desert collectors (or check guildwiki) and see what hammers are available. You should be able to get a max damage hammer +15% of some flavour for like 1 platinum worth of materials.
