I'm a newbie, first day playing, but i have a few questions:
What are artifacts for, i mean each one adds to something, like energy, but do you equip it to use it?
Where is the agent or whatever to get more storage, I can't find him, i'm in the first city...
What are flowers for, are they just another ingredient for crafters?
How do you get rid of your pet?
What are the other bags that you can carry other than the sack and the belt pouch, can I have more than one belt pouch?
What's the big deal with dyes, other than changing the color of your stuff, is it used for anything else, like quests?
Thanks alot.

Artifacts: yes you equip it in the offhand (i.e instead of a sheild) but obviously can't be equipped with a 2-handed weapon
Agent: they are only available in post-searing. This is after the story starts, you'll know when you're there
Flowers: try giving them to a certain flute-playing girl...
Pet: behind Nente (the ranger who gives the pet quest) there is someone called Jarrel the Tamer. Later in the game he can be found in many places. Talk to him to give up your current pet, or if you simply don't want it out at the moment but wish to keep it, unequip the "Charm Animal" skill
Beltpouch: only one beltpouch, but you can have 2 bags as well, the two bags can be upgraded with 'runes' that you buy so they have 10 slots each.
Dyes are just used for changing the colour of your armour, if you find a black, its rare so keep hold of it

Welcome! First, check out the "search" button, it will help.
But since I'm already here:
Artifacts add Energy and precious bonuses. You equip it in your hand, like a Shield. If you have a staff, bow, or hammer, you cannot use the Item, but you can still carry it to save inventory space.
The Xulie agent (sp?) is in Ascalon city(POST-searing) on the hill overlooking the fire. Hit "alt" to see all the NPCs... I think you're still in pre-searing...
Flowers are for Gold or to give to Gwen.
Go to an Animal Trainer to get rid of your pet. Then, you can Charm a new one! In pre, he's right next to the First Ranger. In post, he's right outside Ascalon. There are other trainers scattered around.
You get the other bags in post, they cost 100g, and you should eventually by a Rune of Holding (500g) to double their space. Rune of Holdings don't work on your Beltpouch or original Backpack.
Dyes are worth GOLD. I would advise against using them/selling them in pre. Once you get to post, there is a Dye Trader who will give you an idea of their value. Yellow and Purple (I think) are cheapest, Silver and Black are most expensive.
Yellow sells for 10g at Trader, buys for 100g, Silver sells for 650, buys for 850, Black sells for 6,500 (yes, 6 thousand 5 hundred gold), and buys for 8,500. (All prices may change, but usually not a lot).
(EDIT: "sells" is what you can sell it for at Trader, "buys" is what you can buy it for at Trader.)
Scamming Black Dye is pretty popular, so watch out.

Thock
1. Yes you have to equip it in order to use it, they have no effect otherwise.
2. You dont get one until later, cant really say more without spoiling the story.
3. You can give the flowers to the NPC Gwen, she gives you an item that as of now has no purpose, but may in a later chapter.
4. If you just dont want the pet around remove the skill "Charm Animal"
5. The other bags can be bought a little later in the game.
6. The only effect dyes have is changing the color of armour/equipment. If you get a silver or black dye save it, they will be worth alot of gold a little later in the game.

Artifacts would be held in your off hand to do just what they say, boost things. So you`d have a wand in one hand and an artifact in the other.
You can`t get more storage or more bags till you go through the Academy and get on to the real game. Right now your in Pre-Searing and it`s the tutorial to get you used to playing. Once you have Rez Signet, Belt Pouch and all the skills for your Character your ready to go to Post-Searing which is talking to Sir Tydus, doing a short PvP area then fight with Prince Rundik to get to Post. Supposedly you`ve been gone for 2 years yada yada yada.
Their are 2 NPC that will take your pet, one is where you get the quest to tame your pet, the other is outside Ascalon.
Flowers you give to Gwen and she`ll follow you and heal you some and eventually give you the Tapestry Shred which, so far, has no use in game.
Dyes do nothing else but color armor. Keep the till you get to post and sell them. Black goes sell for approx. 8.5k in Post from the trade and you can sell it to the trader for approx. 6.5k. Silver is next best, the others you can get various amounts for in Post.
Crap. I need to learn to type faster.
