awkward movement interface or is it me?

I am hoping this is just an easy problem of my ignorance, but movement in this otherwise wonderful game seems anti-intutive. In just about every other game i have played, you can move your effectively with the mouse / trackball. Holding down one button allows you to move or turn the character with the movement of the mouse. but in GuildWars, you almost HAVE to use the keyboard to turn the character efficiently (and even with the keyboard, the movement has an eventual ending...slowing down when you release the keys, not stopping, which is annoying as hell). Is there something I am missing because this one element of this otherwise excellent game is causing a great deal of frustration since this is a fundemental working part of the game.

Thanx for any help in this. I am hoping there is a control panel menu that i missed somewhere. I cant imagine that they would create such an otherwise well designed game and still make the simple movement of a character this difficult.

England.

Moving and looking around in Guild Wars, to me, feels very similar to moving and looking around in a first person shooter. As I'm used to first person shooters I adapted to it easily, and as most gamers play first person shooters, I imagine that Arenanet designed the controls with this in mind.

The controls seem fine to me. I use the mouse as my main turning point. Just click and hold to turn. *Shrugs*
