Why cant i get aggro always in Fow as a tank?

Why do always,when i run in the front 1st, i don get aggro? the shadow warrior always run behind me to attack my teammates and the shadow rangers/casters behind the shadow warriors target my ranger/casters teammates behind me?

Whats the use of a tank in fow then? can anyone teach me a good way to get most aggro on me?

Enemies can tell who is the weakest or "squishies". Just as you would go attack the shadow monk they go for your monk. Ez way to take ALL aggro you would have to be able to survive on your own for about 4 seconds without monks assistance. Tell them to stand back. So when you aggro you should be the only green dot for miles. Then once u have it tell them to come. Whammy that should do it

There's a quest fairly early on that has a book that you can carry. When you carry the book, all of the monsters will always aggro you. The problem is while carrying the book, you can't use a weapon or shield, and you move at about 80% of normal walking speed, so you need to be well-prepared. But trust me, when you carry the book, you'll get all the aggro you can handle.

[edit] Also, obviously, if someone is using area of effect spells (fire storm, meteor shower, traps, even ignite arrows) then if you don't have the book, when the monsters flee, they will often aggro a new target.

Two possibilities:

1) your team mates are clueless about agro management and making the mistake of being in your agro bubble during the initial charge

2) you are not holding your position after initially capturing mob agro

If #1 is the reason, then your other party members have no one else to blame but themselves. If it's #2, then you can correct it by not shifting location after estabilishing base tank agro.

Another thing everyone fails to do is keep the tank at the edge of their agro circle.

Anyone who has done two-man-UW runs knows this. As the SS/SV necro, I always make sure my invincimonk is outside or at the edge of my agro circle. I get only close enough to cast then move back.

It's not hard to maintain agro. Also, the tank can't move much, if at all, that seems to help break agro if someone else is close enough to get it.

not excatly true. i often play as monk in fow. and often stand in middle of fight or near the shadow. as long as i dont fight i have good chance not to get aggro. when i have aggro i just go a few steps backward and the shadow warriros attack someone else.

Shadow Warrior : Hey guys you know these people who come in and kill us all the time, and cast Meteor Showers?

Shadow Monk: Jeez yeah that kills! and it interupts my spells. And theres always a Warrior guy doing like 10 dmg to me, but i can never wand him.. Hes an agile guy eh?

Shadow Warrior: Yeah that guy is a pain in the ass, I mean whats point just taunting us like that, doing some terrible dmg. I can never kill him.

Shadow Monk: Yeah hes a diversion you idiot, OMG you attack that warrior guy first? lol man no wonder im getting caned by the lvl 20 noobs.

Shadow Warrior: You mean I should go hit the guys wearing Cloth instead of Steel? Hmm... Oh dont call me a noob, maybe you could try moving from the Aoe Nukes once in a while fool.

When u agro, make sure NO team8 is into ur agro circle, cuz the enemies have like the same agro circle u have, so they got no choice then to attack you..

Shadow Monk: Hey you better be nice to me, or I wont res anyone

Shadow Warrior: Yeah and they keep on dying because your healing is just so bad

Shadow Monk: STFU and lay that chest over there, so noobie warriors will sprint to it

Shadow Warrior: Can't carry anything yourself because you're a lightweight huh?
