Ive played whole game as smiting monk/warrior and im now at hells precipice.I use aoe smiting , balths aura, sow, soj, zealots, orison ,balths spirit for energy ,restore life and usually one sword skill ,sever artery or an interupt.
With this build im usually up close to enemies pref. behind them trapping between warriors so they cant run and hit them with all the aoe skills. Most things die quickly. In hells precipice one try tells me this isnt going to work due to titans burning and my armour/ele prot not being good enough.
Im thinking of running a dual healing /smiting role as i have sup smite rune and dont want to buy any more.I can get 12/12/12 heal/df/smite which seems pref to 13/13 heal/df.
I was thinking along lines of using zealots fire and healing smiting at same time using orison , maybe smite hex as well.Healing seed and signet of devotion for the healing part .I have spellbreaker and soj as elites , im guessing spellbreaker is going to be of more use than buffing the tank with soj? Also can you remove the burning conditions with purge conditions? How much enchantment removal problems in level.
As I said ive only tried level once so if u reckon ideas crap for this level i guess ill have to go and buy a major healing or df rune and head tatoo and be a proper healer for first time in game.

Monk armour is not going to stand up to titans. If you get in their face, they're definately going to target you over the warriors. Also note that standing near titans will constantly cause burning, so removing it is pointless when it's just going to be back in less than a second. You're better off smiting off a warrior to add to the damage while still mainly focusing on keeping people alive. Though if you can manage to keep yourself healed while being focus fired at by all the enemies and keep the warriors from dying from burning, as well as whatever casters are being targeted by an imp, and still manage to add in whatever smiting spells, then all the more power to you. Seems like you'd end up spreading yourself too thin, trying to accomplish so much in such a short time.

Just my two cents though.

I did it as a pure smiter and thought it was fun doing so, although I had perhaps 2 domination skills from my secondary mesmer class and 1 inspiration. Point is, though, I was all offensive/damage dealing. It was fun, and effective.

Healing monks are extremely rare in this part of the game and people aren't going to be very accepting of a monk that is not heal/protect. I did the mission last night as a healer and we eneded up taking Mhenlo for another monk as the only other monks there were apparently AFK. We beat it.

Anyway, it is a tough mission and I can't see anyone not focusing on a single task and being effective. What do you use to regain energy? Smiting and healing is going to drain you fast and there are long battles here. Of course, if you've never been a healer then perhaps you need to stick to smiting if that's all you know.
