Me/Ele(Earth)

Anyone tried to combo? Ive been looking over the classes and I think Mesmer intrests me most, but I'm unsure of a secondary(if I choose to use one at all). Looking at the Earth Branch of the Elementalists theres some interesting spells. A few that ignore armor, and one I thought would be interesting IF you could get teamed with the Air Elementalist. Can't remember its name, but it slows the target by 90%(iirc) and makes him inpervious to all attacks except lightening(would be a interesting Earth/Air ele combo as will).
