Hidden Stuff West of Ventari's Refuge
Bragg Madaxe
I'm sure most of you know about the hidden Temple of Balthazar where you can buy Morale and Dwayna's Blessing far far west of Ventari's Refuge:
but if you continue on, you'll find a beautiful hidden lake and waterfalls-absolutely gorgeous-as well as a whole community of those green houses, guarded by wind riders.
There's also a collector there (2 really-1 near the Temple, and the other further north from the temple). Lots of wind rider bosses and wind riders that you have to fight thru to see it though. Hard fight, but worth it if you're into cool graphics and environments.
So my question is-
What other hidden away things have people found? I posted previously about the hidden ruins in pre-searing near Fort Ranik.
I love this game...

I'm not sure I'd call this hidden but a lot of people don't seem to know about it, Lornar's pass has the alternate entrance to UW (no favor needed) with a very cool architecture/archway there with the Grenth statue buried within
I'll look to include a couple screenies or maybe there's another thread I didn't find when I looked for it. I also have my route from the War Camp (west, then north). Why War Camp over Beacons? Can have a party of 8 vs 6 and the higher level henchmen (but also noting you can't enter with henchmen!). Unless I suppose you run from ToA -> Beacons for party of 8 and lvl 15s.
Note it still costs a plat.
And for solo or paired UW'ers it might be quite a run...!
But for those who like to do 8 players in a group UW, it's a nice warmup WarCamp -> Lornars when no favor is to be found =)

Statues are only activated when you have favor.
No trips to UW, FoW, quests, blessings, etc, unless you have favor.

Sure it's not a "hidden" area so much as an area that doesn't get explored because there are no quests or outposts in areas like those OP screenshot.
It's an area discovered only by those adventurers/explorers that want to see all of the game, regardless of materialistic rewards.
Heck this is how I learned to go from ToA to Druids Overlook, and enjoying the really cool eerie forests along the way and the 5 Bone Dragons + Boss standing guard over several chests (pre- chest nerf) and the God Statue right near it.

I been there once when i was a level 18 W/E. I got bored and thought there another town or outpost by Ventair so i keep going till i went pass the tower into the huge lake. It was quite impressive.

You can't enter the UW from this statue even with favour it simply gives you a blessing>I run up the peaks and went in and /kneeled and it didn't say anything about going to the UW only a blessing much like Dywanas's statue in Neboo Terrace.

I decided to go explore the area myself, after seeing this thread. I have this thing with my ranger character where I want her to have covered every inch of the map so she can better fit the "ranger" ideal of being a knowledgable guide through the uncivilized areas of the world.
In any case, I was surprised to find a chest in there which not only gave me a gold, but a gold with a perfect upgrade. That's one more thing I don't have to spend my faction on now. I really never expected to be getting perfect upgrades from an area so early in the game, but I guess it could either be a complete fluke (in which case, lucky me!) or it could be justified since the area requires a decent time investment to reach.

I reckon this area should be hard to get to, but opens up the UW for International districts, so that multiple nationalities can go to UW together - as long as they go the hard way. I'm not sure how the favor system could be incorporated to include this though.

Cool I didn't know this, i should try this spot out some time

Well there are a few very cool areas:
Rotscale in Majesty's Rest (halfway between ToA and Druids Overlook)
The Fire Imp Temple (to the east of Rotscale's place)
Lyssa's Cave (far northeast of Mineral Springs)
Grenth's Temple (Lornar's Pass)
Balthazar's Temple in The Falls (~the OP)
Melandru has a statue way out in Twin Serpent Lakes
Divinity Island (off the shore of DC)

This thread should really be moved to the Tyrian Explorers League.

I wouldn't be surprised to find such a nice item in Dreadnought's Drift, as it's quite a pain to get to and in one of the later areas of the game (though we all know they still don't like to show up even then). Near Ventari's though? A perfect mod on a max damage weapon are quite rare to find that early in the game, before you even hear of the desert for the first time.
