Monk Ascension

Hello,

I am currently trying to get my monk through ascension but I cannot find an efficent build enough to defeat the Doppelganger. I am lvl 17 and have 250 life. Any tips?

You might want to level up a little more or get some good armor.In essence all you need to do to defeat it is use retribution,holy wrath and healing breeze but don't use it to heal youself and getting good holy or smiting rod would be good as well.I was level 20 and it took me in a few secs do beat it I beleive i got the bonus wasn't looking at the timer.It is the easiest part of ascending even easier than the missions.Just cast retibution and holy wrath on yourself and you might be fine don't use breeze.

instead of doing that just take two skills, retribution and divinve boon. cast retribution on yourself and just stand there. heal yourself by casting divine boon repetitively. enjoy ascension.

Curious, why do you say to not use Healing Breeze on yourself?

Also, I've had the doppleganger use Holy Wrath before so recommend just Retribution + Healing Breeze. Max Smiting, enough attributes in your weapon for the req, and then healing for Breeze.

why would you use healing breeze at all? if you take divine boon instead the stupid doppleganger casts it once and that's it, he's too dumb to understand that you can heal yourself with it. if the only two skills you take are retribution and divine boon the doppleganger has no way to heal itself. all you have to do is cast retribution, stand there and let him kill himself, and cast boon from time to time...

Breeze or Boon, either way it dies, and I've never had him use HB.

Your secondary may help you also

W -- frenzy
Me -- backfire + worthless spells that won't affect you
E -- blinding flash
N -- lots of sacrifice skills
R -- lots of spirits, dopple will take so long casting them you can waste him

just bring Retribution and Holy Wrath and then a max weapon.. the dopple will drop in about 30 seconds...

when my level 10 monk went against my doppel, i took 5 nature rituals, reversal of fortune, symbol of wrath, and zealots fire

just spammed reversal while waiting for symbol to recharge, then used symbol when it was recarged, making sre that zealots was always on.

took my about 40 seconds to beat it

The reason you bring breeze is so it will use it to heal it self up and use its energy.That is something you don't want to do it worked for me and a few others i know.

ok if your secondary is warrior this will be the easiest way to beat him

bc ive tried more then 20 times the way it says on here but it didnt work for me

just take healing breeze bc he wont use and then have a max dmg or near max dmg weapon preferably a axe or a sword and just go at it u should be able to kill him less then 40 secs i didnt and i was at lvl 17 after i killed him i was lvl 20
