Augury Rock To Thirsty River Trip

I could use some advice about how to get from Augury Rock to Thirsty River. My character is a twenty-first Level elementalist. My party gets killed by the hydras whenever we try to make the trip.

What is the best way through Skyward Reach and the Skar to get to Thirsty River?

It's better to enter from Destiny's Gorge, since you can't actually REACH the TR from the Arid Sea. Hold left when you enter from Destiny's and stay left as much as you can. Arc around the top of the scar and down the east side of it, pass through the teleporter, and you should arrive with few problems.

Helluva accomplishment though - being a 21st level el.

It takes me about 15 min or less to run there from augary rock to thirsty.You can go from the rock.

Lasareth, Axeme and Age, thanks for the replies. Any suggestions on getting to Destiny's Gorge from the Amnon Oasis? I would like to give your suggestion about getting to Thirsty River a try.

You can just run the route fairly easily. If you are using a speed skill, the hydras meteors will all miss you, unless you're very unlucky, and you can dodge their fireballs. In your case, that probably means windborne speed, armor of mist (I think), unless you have a warrior secondary. If you want to fight there, try to get a mesmer or ranger with interrupts, and as long as you're careful, things should pretty much sort themselves out.

To get to Destiny's Gorge, leave Augury into Skyward Reach. Follow the path east. You can avoid most hydra. Equip a run skill to go past the Losaru.
