This is a list of suggestions of new places of ideas. Since all the scenery in GW isn't very eye catching or original, I decided I'd invent some places.
Bluestone Canyon
Bone Forest - This area is full of gargantuan bones creating a forest. Although the owners of the bones are long dead, the area is actually quite alive. No trees are present, the bones are all that stand. Instead, ivy, moss, flowers and other plants grow in the area. The bones resmeble tree trunks and plants that have grown up them and sprouted outwards like trees. The people in the area use the bones for their houses and many bones tower three stories or more into the air with widths of over 6 feet. How the bones ever came to be is a mystery and some speculate that the area used to be deep undersea when the world was covered in water, others believe aliens were involved.
Islands of Steam - This island chain is in shallow waters and people can easily walk from one island to the other by walking through knee-deep waters. The unique thing about these islands though is the fact that the small rodents that inhabit the area go out to sea every night and come back every morning. The acids within the skin of these creatures reacts with the salt water forming steam that rises all around the island which has been the reason why it has stayed uninhabited for so long. Fishermen tell stories and often talk about the dangers of the area, but it's mainly superstition... or is it? Recently archaeologists have revealed information that this island was once inhabited, but after traders brought these strange vermin along with them, the island was shrouded in the mist and lost for several hundered years.
Orr - No information provided yet
Floating Crystal Quarry - No information provided yet
I'm still working on adding more to the list. Originallity is something I strive for.
New Areas
Kai Nui
Symeon
As I said before and will say again, this is exactly what I'm looking for in Chapter 2. Diverse, interesting, flowing and mindblowing landscapes that really make you think where you are, and how beautiful or amazing this place is.
A fairly old thread of mine discussed some ideas for filling in the gaps in the current map (Orr, Charr land, south of Maguuma etc.)
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=75993
But obviously for Chapter 2 there are no 'gaps' so we can think up much more authentic ideas.
