This build seems effective, but my connection is so shoddy lately that I can't PvP at all. But, I can play PvE, so I picked up something to just mess around with. This is what I came up with:

Attributes:
Protection: 10
Expertise: 12 + 1
Marksmanship: 8 + 3 + 1

Skills:
Reversal of Fortune
Distracting Shot
Savage Shot
Whirling Defence
Barrage {E}
Shielding Hands
Mend Ailment
Rebirth

I don't have an ultra cool 5/1 Vampiric Bowstring or anything, so I'm not gaining a ton of health. But, the build is strong enough to overcome horendous lag and allow a solo of Nolani Academy, with the bonus. It's also good at Thirsty River, so I can help guildies ascend their characters (when my connection doesn't hobble me into NetErr7dom).

While very tough, it's not invincable by a long shot. SH, then WD, then SH, then you're out of defense buffs. RoF doesn't help very much, but that and SH can help take the heat off of a team mate. Barrage doesn't seem to effect energy at all with this setup, so you can spam away and still have the energy for repeated Mends, RoF's, and SH's. Every now and then, I still find enemies that buff themselves too well for me to deal with, so I've got the 2 interupts to counter that (either interupt, or spam barrage, whichever is more useful at the time). Rebirth is, as always, a last ditch kind of thing, but it doesn't seem to effect this build very much (only need 2 energy to use Barrage). All in all, I'm pretty happy with it.

Strange role combination...would seem to take near-prescient battlefield awareness to make a good Interruptor and ProtBot at the same time. That's a lot of really fast target switching...>_<. Gives me a headache just thinking about it :-P

Still, it looks pretty good overall, though I don't have much experience either with using Prot monks or even just working alongside them. Heh...where I play, you gotta learn to take care of yer own damn self ^_^

Playing a Prot isn't as hard as you might think. Just gotta watch the Party window. If you see a little shadded down arrow, use Mend Condition. If you see 3 or more monsters charging the same poor guy, use SH. RoF is basicly a healing spell, but for when they're getting attacked. If you have a good caller in the group, you can concentrate on some small Prot and just hit T Space Barrage afterwards.

But, it also helps to know your team. For some inexplicable reason, I almost never see Mend Ailment or Mend Condition in PvE play. I find that rather disturbing.

But, this build is not really a good Interuptor or ProtBot. If you have a halfway decent Prot Monk in your party, ask what he has and make all those Prot skills into self protects. If you have a good interuptor on the team, don't even worry about the two on this build. This build's interupts are pretty low level, just enough to soften up a target rather than flat out denial. All this character is is a support Barrager with some options.
