Necromancer raising minions problem

Bit of a newb question this, but I still haven't gotten the hang of raising minions: everytime I try to cast a rasing spell I get an "Invalid Target Selected" error. At first I thought fair enough, my current target is still alive, after all... But I find that there's no way you can UNselect a target once you've selected them! You can switch between targets, but you can't deselect them completely. I've tried casting it while targetting myself or my allies, but I still get the same error message. Am I missing something?

I think you have to target something that's dead. So if you see a body on the ground then click on it and cast your spell. If you had already targeted an enemy and then they die, you should still be targeting them and therefore be able to use a minion spell on that target (since it's dead). i don't know if you can directly target something for the wells though...

Actually, the spell DOES NOT need a target, but you have to be relatively close to a dead body. It has to actually be a body of some kind that is not magical in nature (humanoid or non-magical creature) AND it has to leave a dead shell of some kind behind.

Also, you can ONLY raise ONE undead for each dead body... even if the body has not disappeared yet.

You will get "Invalid Target" only if no body exists, the body is magical OR you are too far.

guess you're right Jana. Also you can tell if a body has already be "used" for an undead spell by it's color. A black shaded body, indicates that it has already been used.

You also cannot revive. Golems, undead, enemies that disintegrate themselves.
