Sardelac...

I love these forums, and spend much time on them. The forum I spend most time in is Sardelac. I am committed to bringing other people's ideas together and presenting my own.
However, in my time there I have been disappointed.
It says on the guildwars site that forums are read daily. Riverside Inn is, certainly, read almost everyday. That is, the forum where most general discussion takes place.
But, in Sardelac, the place where so many people work hard to present and review ideas in thinking that they will be seen by people more important, it is not so. In my time on the forum I have noticed an Anet staff in the forum only twice or thrice. Once was when Alex Weekes came on to look at the ideas for the assassin thread, which was spammed because it had received attention. Another was when I noticed Gaile Gray's post on an old Christmas thread, seemingly encouraging ideas. The thread was then minorly spammed but then fell back down into the depths again.
This leads on to another problem. The balance of threads. Some people work very hard to present ideas and discuss them. However, these are pushed down. Many a thread in Sardelac is closed because search has not been used. Also, a lot of old boiled ideas keep on being re-presented. Personally, I enjoy reviewing big ideas and keeping them up. But the forum is pressured by a lot of other threads that are pretty meaningless as they just fall down very quickly. People do a lot of bumping, but it would be nice if some major ideas were actually attended to rather than thrown away as people turn to other threads simply to make minor points about old ideas and discussing things more easily. It seems some people turn away simply because they can make posts more easily on threads with smaller ideas and less writing.
So, two things. One, it would be nice if Sardelac received more Anet attention. Two, it would be nice if there were some detection for old or similar ideas other than simply closure, and also if major ideas and discussions were held up rather than just being left because there is too much writing.

These are my comments, I cannot suggest anything, and yes it may have seemed like a rant. But in Sardelac many people work a lot to almost no avail. The title of Sardelac on the index says 'got the next biggest idea?' Many people do have the next biggest ideas, but it just would be nice if these had an effect other than simple short term discussion.

Well I really can't do anything. Sadly. Not a very good response. I can't make ArenaNet view those forums. I can't control the community and their response to a thread. I have given exposure to the Sardelac forum on the homepage, pointing out some great ideas and more. I'll try to do so again sometime soon.

I'll toss in my two cents since I used to be all over Sardelac.
