Hmmm...all right.

But I disagree with you Nova, they should hurt allies. AoE meaning Area Of Affect should affect the area, not just you.

....it would defeat the purppose, that menaing they shouldn't have AoE spells. Why would you make a spell that helps peopel but hurtsthem to...

Look think of this like real life:

You take a big grenade and throw it at a group of people, well the target will get hit. But what about everyone else? Duh they'll get hit.

So why shouldn't it be this way in GW?

Heal area affects enemies, isn't that enough!

Real Life™ has nothing to do with anything it's all about how it affects the gameplay experience. As it is if you want to kill off your own team you're going to have to use the catupult. Personaly if they changed the AoE spells and made them better and gave them the downside of worrying about friendly fire it would be ok with me but the long cast times ... ew. Infact they could give some AoE spells this downside and not others.

I'm always where I'm at, or else I'm nowhere, man.

...Plus the fact that it's often very difficult to holler out "Fire in the hole!" AND cast a decent spell in the heat of battle. If you say it on the wrong channel (I'm assuming there's Guild chat, team chat, world chat, etc.) then you warn the bad guys as well as your own team mates. (Or, scream in your fellow Guild members' 'ears' when they're not even participating in the fight.)

Easier on eveyone to remove the "friendly fire" threat. (Not that I have any clue, this weekend will be my first time playing.)

One word, "Magic", has the power to pick your ememies and take care of them in the way of the spell cast.

warriors would get real mad if he is surrounded by enemies and someone use AOE skill...if AOE skill damages allie.

If only Real Life™ were as well balanced as even the worst balanced game...

Yes, I agree. It would be hard to say 'fire in the hole' but sometimes we must sacrifice things we love for the greater good. Which being realism is the greater good. Sorry if I was strange

I live in an atom bomb in Japan

Im suprised im the first to say this (ensign must be offline ) but there are certain spell that DO hurt both, like meteor shower, but MOST only hit your eneimies.

Y'know, the more I tink about it, the more I realise I'd be playing this game to escape reality... I want LESS realism, LESS plausability... To Heck with friendly fire... I say we have a foot race... whoever can make it across the world and back first wins the game! WHEE!!!!

Sorry, the sugar must be kicking in... ^_^

Dave, you've had a stressful day. I suggest you kick back watch some TV, stop gobbling up pounds of sugar and take a nap.

A foot race would be a little hard, since you'll have to fight Enemies along the way. And people will use skills to increase speed.

Listen to what this man has to say. The whoel game is fictional but in it magic is real. SO it can effect only enemies. he sid what you SHOULD hae got fro me. (Common sence, yo. ) But I mean, come on, the game would SUCK if you could kill your own teammates liek that.
