I think the Black Dye drop rate has been increased....

Well, just today and yesterday (since the update), a good chunk of my guildies got black dyes and just a little while ago when I was doing the Surmia mission, two people got black dye drops. Could this just be an extreme coincidence, or could the new update have changed the drop rate?

You're right. I've got 3 in two days-go figure

they are raising the drops so the price will go down and more people can get them.

yup. seen two drop in the last couple of days. one for me.

I have had five since release, and 3 of those were in presearing on my first character!

Even before the update my pre-sear characters were getting around 3-4 dye drops an hour. I just considered myself lucky since i got 2 silver and 1 black in the same day. -- all before this update, so i cant wait to see what will happen now

Not had any black drops so far, but I have noticed more dye being dropped in general.

Since June 10th, Ive never gotten a black dye, but like Andy said, I have seen alot more general dye's dropping.

I haven't had a black dye drop, but have had 2 Superior Vigor's in the past 2 days.

I got a couple silvers today, but I've never had a black. Actually, I might have, because I remember selling a special dye to the merchant in presearing, but that was the summer, and I was partying, hence do not remember most of June-September.

I got one today while 2 man farming with a necro in UW.

I got 3 in 4 runs in SF the other day.

I just got 2 today. I think it might have gone up. People also seem to be selling it more in town.

well i hope the drop rate has gone up. i have a w/n who has beaten the game but never gotten a dye drop. (i swear i tell the truth). but my r/me has had tons of drops. just today i got 3 blue 4 purple, and a couple of reds. never gotten a black drop though. i hope my luck changes soon.

I've gotten 4 total, all post sear. And the time between drops has been pretty widely spread out. Like at least a month between drops. I just got my 4th the other day, decided to dye a set for my mesmer....Such a waste on the gloves, but at least my mesmer looks nice now hehehe.

Can't say I like the dye system very much though. 1dye+1dye=1dye??? That we've all complained about before. But there's also dye distribution on clothing. Take for instance fem mesmers. You use the same amount of dye on the chest armour as you do with the gloves??? The gloves are TINEH!!!! Hell for warriors, 15k glad armour barely has any dyable areas. If anything, dying 15k gladiator armour should leave leftover dye. For dyes, they should add a new variable like percentage% or dye units or something. Eliminate the system of having say 48 red dyes in an inv slot, and instead change it into a single red dye bottle with a fill amount like 480 units of red dye or something. chest armour uses maybe 20 units, gloves uses 5 units. And imagine the colour possibilites. For instance mix 3 units black, 11 units blue. Armour would be really unique... as long as you remember the proportions you used

ive found almost everything this game has to offer, even found a crystaline, but there is one thing i have never found, and thats a black dye, i would say my account is cursed to not find dyes, best die ive found be a red dye. couple of purples,

i got one black dye drop in griffon farming. I was very confused because thats first time iv gotten a black dye from them in a run, and i must have done over 1000 runs.
