nope.. he is right.

1. yeah the req. 7 is sweet but you are not close to max dmg... o/c you can salvage it but +25 HP is worth ~1k

2. not max dmg, not max engr bonus, the protection recharge max is 20...
the only thing thats worthsomething is the +5 armor, so salvage for it... if you get it you got the 3rd best staff-upgrade worth 3-5k

ah and merchant first and i would sell to merchant the second too its not worth the time selling for only 3k

I personally keep things worth 1k or even less and try to sell them anyway, just for the fun... and yes 3k is a good amount of money still.
