secret to beating mirror image?

it is nearly impossible for me, im a N/Me, withskills or without cuz with skills the damage ones that dont require corpse he can use, with just weapon he has chaos axe and i think vampiric bow. anyone know how to beat him?

don't know about your build, but the w/mo's should take mending.
this will force him to use it on himself.

Try a lot of sacrificing skills for him to use and lower his health, while you do not. Spells that waste his time without real benefit.

Try searching as it has undoubtedly been done before, or browse the necro board.

Yeah, just give him Dark Pact and Shadow Strike. Stuff that sucks by itself.

backfire, empathy and something else :S I beat him with Mo/Me and used nearly all mesmer skills I remember putting backfire on straight away then empathy

insidious parasite + enfeebling blood.
empathy sounds good, and see if you can pick up a couple defensive/energy regen skills from mesmer -- never played mesmer.
don't take any damage spells --- hopefully he'll just kill himself.

after scanning the skills, maybe...:
physical resistance
clumsiness
price of failure
power drain
arcane echo

How?

Simple!

Take all sacrificing life spells with the last slot of backfire. He kills himself ^_^ Just make sure to stay alive, make sure you brought things that wouldn't help him, like blood renewal or anything like that.

You're probably too low of a level or have horrid armor.

the only secret is that the AI can be manipulated.

stack up on life-sacrificing skills that have no real benefit, like barbed signet (that is, if you're out of range). i'm not sure, but chilblains could help too.

backfire could help, too.

i guess once you enter the arena, just run around like you're on fire (wait, you are. ) in an attempt to dodge his (her?) arrows.

Ok, first, don't bring any healing spells. They will work against you more than they will help you.

Bring the following spells (if you have them):

Awaken the blood
Backfire
Dark fury
Defile flesh
Enfeebling blood
Distortion
Any two other mesmer hexes that won't cause you problems to have them cast on you (illusioned burden, for example)

When the battle starts, cast backfire on the doppleganger, then use distortion. Keep using distortion whenever it wears off. You can reapply backfire when you need to. Don't cast any other spells. He should sacrifice himself to death or cast through the backfire.

Invest all of your skill points in domination and illusion for distortion and backfire.

He should die in probably 30 seconds or less.
