Ok, so i have a brand new mic. Old one kinda died.

I know my mic is working, downloaded some sound recording software to record my voice and check.
Problem is, i go on Ventrilo. I can hear myself though my earphones, but when i Push to talk, no-one can hear me.

Any tips would be appreciated on how to fix this.

BTW, reinstalled SiS 7012 Audio Driver, reinstalled Ventrilo.

Hmm, there is a setup button, I would press that, and make sure for input and output that your sound card is being used. Other than that, I really am not sure. I have a similar problem, and after I am on talking for 5 minutes, my mic doesnt work, and when I press to talk, everyone hears a fuzzy scratchy noise. Also, when I boot up XP, it says keyboard failure, and I just bought the keyboard, and know it isnt failing, so the only way I could fix it was to plug in my old keyboard also, and it will only recognize that one, and after boot, i keep it plugged in, but use my new one, and it works fine. I think I am having motherboard problems.

Back to your topic though, fiddle around with the settings, try finding out what they are on the recording software, and making sure that in Ventrillo they are the same.

Good luck, and post with your progress please.
