Battle Rage, does it end if you use an atk spell?

I want to use a W/N with battle rage but I'm just wondering if battle rage will end if I cast vampiric touch or something.
I really want to go curses and use parasitic bond and insidious parasite, but I'm pretty sure it will end battle rage since they are hex spells and are not directly attack skills. Could someone just clarify this for me. Thanks

well, you said it yourself. they are Spells, not Attacks.

I don't get why people don't try these things rather than asking.

surely it's a lot quicker to just go test it and know for sure.
