Minion Factory debate
Deirdre O Sorrows
Undeniably, Minion Factory (either Lulu's or mods) is one of the most fun builds in tombs. Almost every time I'm in a group someone is asking the poor ranger to bring 12 spirits and oh, how about a couple traps? Most people agree it's good to bring winnowing and predatory season, but there's an even split as to whether or not favorable winds does anything for fiends.
Here is the description for FW:
Create a level 1-8 Spirit. For creatures within its range, arrows move twice as fast as normal and strike for +6 damage. This Spirit dies after 30-126 seconds.
Now, does this mean the arrows fly twice as fast AT the creatures within FW range or that it speeds up projectiles fired BY creatures, i.e. fiends?
Can someone please put this debate to rest?

The real question is not whether minions are creatures (obviously they are), but whether minions fire "arrows", and all the evidence I've seen points to "no, they don't."

from everything i have heard, and common sense... no, FW does not effect minions. minions, or the thingies they hurl at enemies, are not "arrows".

Can you please describe how well it worked and how you tested it?
I have googled this question to death. No one has a definitive Yes or No as to whether or not fiends fire faster with FW. I did find an archived post that said FW works, but they qualified that with "at least they used to."
How do we figure this out?

if it did work, shouldnt it be seen when you are attacked by a fiend?
-20
-4 (winnowing)
-6 (favorable winds)
shouldnt that be the case?

Scrubs Can Die
The damage from both is added into the total and not displayed seperately.

a shame...
so how would someone test the effectiveness of FW with fiends?

it works.. FW gives the damage bonus..next time you play the MM.. you can see 30-40 damage per hit.
