I play a Warrior/Monk, and a Necro/Ranger, so I have experience with both the /monk and /ranger as well as the Warrior Primary.

Let me tell you it was a hard decision to make when choosing between /monk and /ranger for Warrior... as they are the two skill sets that I think best compliment a Warrior primary.

Having monk secondary abilities is really sweet! Being able to heal, healbuff, and rez allies, and also being able to heal and healbuff yourself is VERY useful.

Running into battle, solo, with sword raised overhead, and a +5 on your health regen, makes you a force to be reckoned with (for the 12 seconds that regen lasts, anyways!).

So yes, Warrior Monk is a VERY potent combo. However, the ability to melee, with a pet, would also be fantastic. Trap setting is a major bonus too, especially when you're the guy in the thick of things.

I guess it boils down to this:

Do you want support abilities, and excellent solo capabilities... or do you want versatility and added damage-output?

wa/mo for survivability but it is overused. everyone and their auntie are wamos

wa/ra would be more original. You could take the classic wild survival from ran to get high trolls ungent and get the abilty that makes all your physical attacks do poison damage.
Then go heavy swords and focus on getting out alot of attacks fast with atk speed increasing skills.
these are commonly called poison warriors.

I'm W/R. It's awesome. I get a flat bow that shoots 200 yards (so it seems) and draw them in one at a time. My flat bow dam is 14-35. It does 50+ dam easily because I put my strength up to 9. When I shot double-shot, it sometimes hit double of the max which is deadly. I have a one-shot killer but it only hits 1 in 1o but when it does, man, its the bomb. The only neg is that you have to do a lot of bow quests to get the really good upgrades and skills.
