yes they could do a retroactive nerf that affected all the currently in game ones, however at this point they aren't going to be able to do anything either way without pissing lots of people off. I tend to believe that they won't allow some to stay "unnerfed" it will be all or nothing in the case of this item.

This item will prob turn into the HoD sword or the 20/20 rockmolder...nerfing the whole bit would not only piss off a lotta ppl, it would take a lot of time and bandwidth
