The icon on the top left part of my screen says "Diseased" but we're not sure if thats the specific skill or not...any help on this would be greatly appriciated!

It seems that my guild and myself have been shot down out of the Hall of Heroes by a very annoying skill...We've narrowed it down to either a Necromancer or a Ranger skill...It poisons, with a health degeneration of at least 5 (since i play a Paladin build i always have Mending on so the +3 negates some of the effect) and in addition, it spreads like crazy, allowing their Elementalists to easily pick us off.

Another possiblity is the ever so clever Mesmer, Conjure Phantasm + Epidemic, there are also a number of other mesmer skills that cause health degeneration, conjure phantasm + epidemic + chaos storm could screw a group up pretty fast.
Nobody likes the mesmer...everybody should love the mesmer!

rule of thumb for pvp...carry some handy condition and hex removal skills..smite hex comes to mind... mend condition..there are lots.

My group got rocked out of HoH I run a Mend Ail/Remove Hex Healer and I just could not keep up with a mesmer and a necro spreading plauge all over the place 
... but back on topic... kind of... Does epidemic really spread chaos storm? if so I gotta start using that more often :|

No Aiwa you're right it's just a hex, I got some skills mixed up.
And no you don't "spread" chaos storm, it's an AoE spell. You cast it into a group of enemies and it deals damage to those in it's area automatically. Another good skill as a mesmer for some decent AoE damage is shatter hex, I sometimes just try to get hexed simply to use this skill when I run into the group.
