Hi, I love shadowbows and I am wondering where they drop...

I heard it was UW but I dont know?

Also:

What enemy drops them? Do bosses drop them? Are they usually good?

FoW, and they drop all the time, several per run, from regular monsters. Just a different skin... I can't remember whether it's the same as the horn bow or some other bow type, but maybe someone else can answer that.

I think I have a gold one that's not great, but not too shabby either. I'll post a pic for you.

shadow bows drop regularly in FoW. it has built in 10% armor penetration like all horn bows.

Your best bet for finding a good shadow bow on your own is to buy Obsidian Keys and open chests in FoW. Probably 90%+ of the shadow bows that drop from monsters there are white and not even max dmg. I've occasionally gotten a blue or purple shadow bow drop, but the only gold I ever got was from a chest (and I think your chances are roughly 5%-10% of getting a rare shadow bow from a chest).

Or you could of course buy a shadow bow from another player. I don't recommend buying un-id'd bows though, since it's easy for a seller to test them to determine the damage requirement, prefix, and suffix (and if they're good, the dmg bonus too). So the un-id'd ones for sale are often the leftovers determined to have lously mods.

Will it say that in the item desc or is it innate and hidden?

It's an innate property of Horn Bow types.

Weapon mod is the most important. Prefix and suffix can be modded.
Is there a big difference between, 10%>50 or 12%>50 or 15%>50
In price, there's a big difference between the 3.
So, how can you tell it's a 15%>50 by testing?
keep in mind these bows cost 3-5k unid. Who's gonna waste their time testing.

I am none too big a fan of testing weapons since the damage mod is the most important and hardest to test modifier on the weapon. However, I do test shields quite frequently since desirable mods on shields are much more simple to test.
