Hello peoples,
Figured I post here before I forget and make eight dozen, random posts..
Newbie to GW (and MMORPGs in general), but played the books, old school style. I'm thoroughly addicted. Must admit, though, I'm not a great player. From what I can tell, my character prof combos are poor choices, that will ensure that I get my toush kicked. But hey, I have a good time.
Really more about the PvE aspects of the game and use henches (minions! they like to be called minions!) most of the time.
I'ld be the one here to most likely post, "OMG!! Help, help! Zombies ate my cat and set my pants on fire!"

I've been playing gw on and off since closed beta. I purchased it right after release and played through the prophecies campaign, and pretty much put it aside until about a week ago.

I've ordered both nightfall and factions, and nightfall arrived the other day so I'm having fun being a total noob again running around killing level 0's. I've no idea what class to go with, as I think they're all rather cool. I'm a spear and polearm nut, so it'll probably dervish or paragon (or maybe ritualist, or assassin, or ranger.. or monk..)

My main is Io Featherfoot on the euro shard if anyone bumps into me. I was Io Ameson the monk in beta, I think. Cant' quite remember.

I've lurked, but finally been brave enough to post. I play on GWs a lot. I have been spending a lot of time with my Ranger (trying to get her through Factions,) and my monk, Izumi Elirc. Note, the sad misspelling of Elric. I was in a hurry and my brother from another mother was pestering me to make a character. A Full Metal Alchemist manga was the only thing in reach. =P

I also have a Mesmer (Areola Mencorna,) Necro (Masamune Saiyan,) Elementalist (Fire Red Ragnarok,) and Dervish (Corazon Deleon.) I'll get around to them someday. My poor Izumi usually gets drug around with my guild members/best friends farming and hard quests. =)

First i joined so i can sell and buy stuff, but then i saw that this forum has some great members and topic and i started posting more and more these days. My favourite part of this forum is Screenshot Exposition allthough i am too lazy to post some of my pictures. Well i guess i will have to start it some day.

Well I am delighted to have found this site, via the official one. I have been playing Guild Wars since it came out and have totally enjoyed it. I love the different variations you can play .. with other players, with NPCs or solo in a mission to collect the most loot.

I was considering buying one of the expansions but not quite sure which to get. Eye of the North has my interest. Could anyone tell me what are the additions and advantages that come with each expansion?

I wonder about Guild Wars II coming up. I've read that there won't be NPC henchmen to play with and that is the way I battle the most.

The whole reason that I came here is that I've encountered a problem in the trading/weapon selling process. When I press Enter and type my message .. it is green font and when I press Enter again to make it visible in chat, nothing shows. This has been going on for about a week and I cannot figure out what mistake I must have made to cause this to happen. Can amyone tell me how to make my messages visible again because I love to bargain and sell the things that I get that are of good quality.
