Question about A-net and reports
Inureface
OK, I just got scammed out of 6 ectos, I took a pic and sent it as a report to a-net. Does anet have a reputation for ignoring reports, or not taking any serious action, or anything like that? A huge reason why I quit runescape was because scamemrs and hackers won't ever be banned unless they are doing what they do right in front of a mod. And please for the sake of me and my lost 60k don't BS about me whining and trying to beg back my stuff. I can earn ectos back but I want that ass to be punished.
Ondo
They do take care of all reports. They will not inform you of what they decide to do they just do it. Usually a suspension for so many days depending on how many time there has been bad reports made about the particular account. If more than one offense they will increase suspensions, and even ban accounts.
Inureface
Then thats reasuring, but will they at least tell you they did something, even if they don't get specific?
eom
how did he scam you?
Savio
They won't even tell you if something happens due to privacy issues.
Inureface
60 gold instead of 60k -_-. But knowing that a-net isn't BS when it comes to reports is kinda reasuring. I'll earn back those ectos one way or another, thanks for the help here.

E-Mail 1 :anet says you sent us a report
E-Mail 2: we're looking into your report
E-Mail 3: we investigated and made a finding
you get E-mail 3 when they actually do something about it, but they dont tell you if it was ban, suspend or warning etc.
Former Ruling
First off: You seem to be getting scammed alot...
This is why Runescape has 2 trading screens, and Guild Wars covers up their offer and tells you when their modifying it..
You've heard this alot but, "Pay Attention to the Screen". Both games have AMPLE protection for you against getting scammed if you just give it the Slightest bit of effort to protect yourself.
The reason Runescape cant keep up with the scammers is because the average Runescape player acts 2 yrs old and doesnt know how to spell their own name - they dont even try not to get scammed.
(BTW - there is no "hacking" - just Keyloggers - and most people losing their accounts are the idiots trying to download cheats and bots for the game).
-NOT BEING HARSH- Just giving you the best advice you'll ever hear...even if you dont want to hear it..
