Collector Weapons: Are they upgradable?

Are collector weapons upgradable? If yes, then I have some more questions.
So after the SoA Axe patch, I began thinking and remember oustide Sardelac Sanitarium there is a collector that will give you a bow, but it has two bow strings on it. Also, outside Nolani Academy, there is another collector that can give you a staff with two staff wrappings on it. So, can you double mod these weapons like the SoA axe, or were they changed in the patch? Seeing as the weapons are both two handed, I can't see too much more use for them compared to the SoA axe...
Could you post a picture confriming you reason. You don't have to, but it would be helpful.

yes collector weapons are upgradeable... and i believe only the SoA axe was fixed... so i don't see why u wouldn't be able to exploit the bug on the SS Bow

Heh, this leaves me with an idea to put two zealous bow strings on the SS bow and then use barrage for major energy gain (for PvE). I dunno, maybe an R/E or any spell caster could make good use of the bow. Or oddly enough, two vampiric bow strings... Not sure on how to counteract the -2 health degen though...
Or shocking and flaming (?) bow strings would be nice with the use of Mark of Rodgort and Thunder Clap.
And the staff could be turned into a +90 hp staff...

The last string would negate the first one you put in. Doing either only lightning, or only fire dmg.

Double vamp would be nice for a barrage ranger in fow, you could bring mending along to counteract -2 degen.

You can upgrade collector weapons, but you can not salvage them, so once you've put an upgrade on it, it's on there for ever (unless you "overwrite" it with a different upgrade).

That's just a normal shocking bow. The dmg+15%^50 is a modifier, not a string.
No luck here either. That's just a staff of Charrslaying. The "Armor +5 (while casting)" is a normal modifier, not a wrapping.

There are weapons known that allow you to put double upgrades on it. But those are all collector hammers. They come with an obvious drawback for spellcasters: No energy bonus. Is that worth it?

yes they r upgradle able and can be beter than green, gold, and purple items. These are much cheaper even if you have to buy perfect mods to upgrade them worth. I even use these myself.

Thats what I did, my ranger on my other account is still in pre sear but I have all the desert bows (except the flat one) ready for her when she comes post.

Yeah I use the Collectors Composite bow from the Desert as my main weapon. +29 Health Grip and Poisoners String customized for me. I love my bow!

I also have the shortbow version just waiting for a zealous string to put on it and use with barrage!

Need to get another of the composite bows, want to add a Icy String and max shelter grip and run it with Greater Conflag and winter. Should be fun!

As for the dual mod items, I am sure that they either have, or will correct these in the future.

I just did the test. (I had like 6 spare staff wrappings of Warding, so I thought I might as well use them. ) It doesn't work any more. Only the wrapping of Furtitude can be replaced, not the wrapping of Charrslaying.
