I'm getting this message whenever I try to log in:
Guild Wars was unable to connect to the server due to a network or server error. You may be experiencing internet routing issues.
I'm running behind a router, but I've tried forwarding port 6112 AND setting myself to DMZ, and neither has worked. I've tried searching the knowledge base but there seems to be literally nothing about this problem listed there. So 2 questions present themselves:
1. What is going on and how do I fix it?
2. If the error codes aren't contained in the knowledge base, why have them?
Any help is appreciated.
EDIT: nevermind, this is an old known issue with Netgear routers. Those of you having the same problem, disable port triggering on port 6112. Sorry to waste forum space...

Hi, I'm not convinced this problem is fixed by altering Netgear settings. I've bypassed my router and am hooked straight in to a cable modem and am still having the same issues. Are you using a cable modem or DSL?

As a matter of fact, neither. You should check to see if your Windows XP firewall is active. If so, turn it off and put yourself back behind your router. Making the changes I outlined completely fixed the problem for me, so I know that it works, all things being equal.
