Ultimate Ignore List vs. Current Ignore List

I have a strong feeling that the current Ignoring system on GW is lacking. I will cut right to the point and say that i want to be able to ignore guild members! Gah!
I am in a great guild and i have been with most of the players in it for over 5 months now, and recently someone was invited to the guild i REALLYdont like, and yes i am an officer, a fairly well respected one at that, and i *did* kick the person from the guild once, but two of the other officers (both equally respected as myself) brought him back into the guild because he is funny. Now, i'm all for funnies and laughs, but this guys is ridiculous and i dont want to listen to him, its easy enough to turn him off on Ventrillo or TeamSpeak, but i cant make him stop talking over the guild chat.
I wont go *all* the way into detail, just as far as i have already gone, but in short, i [I]really[I] wish i could actually ignore somebody, apart from out in the middle of nowhere, where it is easy enough to avoid them anyway.

just turn off the guild chat when ever he is on... then as soon as he signs off just turn guild chat back on and explain to your guildies that you *accidently* turned off guild chat

I thought Placing someone on the Ignore List will block out all Conversation with that person at the point.

hmm, that is a very good point (when i am posting this i am not at my own house, therefore not having a mic, and making it more complicated)
Even though i am on vent, i would still like to be able to ignore off the guild chat as well, because it just isnt ignoring that way, its more like....not really paying attention all the time.

Ignore just plain needs to be fixed. I don't know what genious thought it would be a good idea to break convention and make "ignore" only ignore tells coming from that person. If I put someone on my ignore list, I never want to hear another word from them, chat or otherwise.
