Our guild is international, scattered over North America, Europe and Australia so there are all the "issues" of time zones and districts that come with it. No problem, when we do a mission or quest together we just move to the international district if American and EU players are involved.
Trying to complete teams for the last 4 missions is nearly impossible though. The EU players don't seem to have any problem with changing to the international district but when I go recruiting people from the American districts most just simply refuse to change to international and go looking for a group in the American.
I have never had any issues with lag, losing connection, etc when playing in the international and have logged hundreds of hours there. If anything it is nicer since the towns are mostly deserted, except for Augury perhaps.
So why is it that most of the people on the American districts won't make that simple change to the international district?
What is wrong with using the International District?

Absolutely no problem but everytime I go over there I'm usually the only one around.

Yeah, I know. Solitude is so nice without all the LFG and WTS!
We have to split up, one of us to American and one to EU to do the recruiting, requesting people to meet in International for the team. It gets frustrating when you get enough people to join but then they won't make the change, even though I announce "LFG for team in international" and also chat with them as they join so it is no secret.

I've never encountered anyone doing such recruiting, but wouldn't think twice about popping over to inter'l if a PUG I joined needed that. Maybe some people you're recruiting simply have not travelled to inter'l before and have some misconceptions about it.

I think it would be a nice idea to have a "Default to International Districts" option, so you log in to those automatically instead of your home districts.

I almost always have lag issues in the international districts. Especially in the desert areas. I try to avoid them as much as possible.
