Xmas Quest Walkthru! Yay!

heres the plain and simple breakdown!

Snowman quest:
Start in Lions Arch - Old Nickoles (near guild emblemer n junk)
run over to Joy who is near the skill trader in Lions Arch
run over to Scrappy near the boats/water/beach in Lions Arch.
Head to Ascalon City, next to Symon the Scribe is where "coal" is, an NPC!
Head to Droknars Forge, look for King Jalis.
Head back to Lions Arch, and talk to Magi Maliquire.
Run over back to Scrappy for the quest
Then you will need to go out into Nebo Village to fight humbugs n grenths.
just go outside from D'alesio Seaboard to where the arrow points, (near a teleporter) you then will meet a happy snowman! follow and help them kill them (pretty simple) return for reward!

Grentchie Wintersday:
Start in Lions Arch - Old Nickoles (near guild emblemer n junk)
Talk to Vehemus (near skill npc)
Termites are on the beach near ascalon settle outside Lions Arch.
Gunk is Southish to Temple of Ages (hes a Gunk farmer Npc)
Garlic is North of Beetletun, you will meet a npc n fight some monsters then get the next section
Unwashed socks are outside hotsprings, where you chase a naked npc o_o and when you run into a deadend he will give you next section
Head back to Lions Arch talk to Vehemus and meet him outside
Head to ascalon settlement and destory the presents.
Head back to Lions Arch and get your reward from Vehemus!

Snowman:
1. To start it, talk to Old Nickoles in Lion's Arch near the Guild Emblem and Registrar.
2. Talk to Joy in Lion's Arch near the Skills Trainer.
3. Talk to Scrappy near the Harbour in LA.
4. Talk to Vanguard Kyle in Ascalon City near Symon the Scribe, in the northern upper stairs.
5. Talk to King Jalis in Droknar's Forge.
6. Talk to Magi in the near centre of Lion's Arch.
7. Talk to Scrappy near the harbour of LA.
8. Start from Beetletun, go all the way West and you'll have to kill a few groups of Humbug and Grentch monsters, only level 15 or so, easy.
9. Return to Joy in Lion's Arch for your Reward.

Grentchie Wintersday:
1. To start it, talk to Old Nickoles in Lion's Arch near the Guild Emblem and Registrar.
2. Talk to Vehemus in Lion's Arch.
3. For the Termites, go to the Beach north of Lion's Arch and talk to the Fisherman.

5. For the Garlic, talk to a Necromancer here:

6. For the unwashed socks, starting outside Bergen Hot Springs, you wil chase a near-fully naked guy to the spot shown on the map below.

7. Talk to Vehemus in LA again.
8. Talk to Vehemus outside LA.
9. Travel to the Ascalon Settlement north of LA with the new Grentch, destroy all 7 wintersday gifts.
10. Return to Vehemus for your Reward.


~ Yes, you can do both quests on the same Character.

As far as I know, to get Candy Cane Shards, you salvage christmas gifts you get from the christmas collectors, and drops from monsters such as Mergoyles and Fire imps.

~ Do NOT try do any of these quests if you have the "Defend North Kryta Province", just abandon it, do these 2, then go back to Glint in Droknar's Forge to re-start it.

u forgot u need to talk to King Jalis in Droks to get the pipe

First.. thanks for the walkthrough, was very helpful!

Second.. the boss at the end of Joy/Snowman quest has Grenth's Balance. Presumably you can capture it off him (I don't remember when you first get access to it, this might be earlier, or it might be a quick way to get it if you missed it before).

And finally.. if you plan to do both quests, plan to complete them -at the same time-, it will save you some walking. the Grenth quest ends at Ascalon Settlement, and the Dwayna quest ends at Nebo Terrace, which is right next door.

I heard something about a magic hat quest... anything on this?

Candy Cane Shards.. Where and who drops them?

Also, where is the crafter?
