The four different elemental armors

When I buy the armor sets for my (female) elementalist that come in pyro or hydro...etc, does the elemental protection help much for pvp or pve? Or should I just buy them based on which looks better, since im liking the aeromancer set right now, but im a fire-based elemental.

Personally the +15 never really matter that much to me as with my already crappy AL I am not expected to take any damage, or when I have, say, high-end Armor of Earth or Armor of Mist on, then I'm already resilient to damage.

I'd say go for the looks. In PvE, none of those damage types really happens often enough for me to buy one set over another. I'd rather look good.

PvP, though, there are many fire elementalists. If you're looking for that slight edge, this may be your ticket.

don't rely on that fire thing in pvp for long... alot of other elements are starting to pop out.
