Did anyone experience this (bug)?

I use henchies a lot when I try to move from one area to another since henchies are better at sticking together. The problem arrises if the whole group dies. Sometimes just after the resurrection one of the henchies will start running towards the place of death. All the times that this happened to me it was either the cultist or the healer that did this.

I have sent a message to ANET using the /bug feature.

Yep.. I have this problem all the time.
A problem i had lately is that we were doing the char flame temple quest, working on the last group of char. Took forever, we all died and then the freekin Warrior henchman was IN a mountain and i didnt get credit for the quest! They need to put a respawn timer after the last real player dies, if the henchman reses the group within that time then the timer stops. Id rather wait, say, 10 mintues for a timer then haveing to do a several hour quest again

I solo with henchies a lot and I too noticed this. However, I found out how to stop them from running head long to their deaths when the rest of us aren't ready.

Make sure you (or any other real player) is not clicked onto one of the mobs that is still living when your party dies. Click on yourself or one of the hencies in your menu area.

This seemed to prevent them from running off on me at the rez point.

Huh.. that may be why the hencies do that. You should suggest that to Areanet some how, Mabey its as simple as a targeting bug?

Yeah, this sort of thing has happened to me too. They head to where they died, but they fly/pass through walls to do it. Then they stop when they're targetted, trapping themselves in solid rock. What this means is that you lose a henchman (or three), and then you can't be ressurrected at the shrine because they are still alive.

It happened in all of the three times that I died at Kessex Peak. Very, very irritating, especially since Alesia went every time, along with a couple of others on one occasion.

It was quite amusing when I once found Orion's scalp poking above ground, though.

Ive seen this quite a few times. Very annoying, especially when you're about done with a mission!

I concur it does seem to only happen when your whole group dies, and only to henchies. Most times when I see it occur, the henchies are floated about 30 feet off the ground and can walk through and over everything. If you ask me, it looks like a bit of code may be bugged of the placement for respawning henchmen on the Z axis.
