Alright, so I've been playing this game for six months now and I've finally decided to create a new character for Guildwars, a mesmer.
What is the best second profession for a Mesmer? I play an Elementalist/ (Monk/Mesm) and know the Elementalist well, but I know nothing of the Mesmer and I'm looking for help.
Any and all of it would be greatly appreicated of course so, thankies

Bane of Mortality
Me/E is pretty good for power because you have fast casting.
Me/Mo can make an okay monk with inspiration and healing. I would advise going Mo/Me for this though. Using domination and smiting prayers makes you an ideal anti caster. (smiting is for scourge healing) YOu can also be a rezmer for MF
Me/R: Some people use this but I think R/Me is better
Me/W is widely used for illusionary weaponry mesmers
Me/N is the most common combination. With these you can go anti warrior, anti caster, mass degen and lots of others. THis is probably the best one to take if you want to try out lots if different builds.

Me/E: You can pretend to be an elementalist. Or, you can use gale for interrupts in an interrupt build (with 4 air magic).
Me/Mo: Well, you can pretend to be a monk, but it's not the best class to pretend with. Arcane Echo comes to mind for increasing your healing per second. You can also go anti hex with smite hex and shatter hex. (along with inpired) if you need hex removal.
Me/R: I...really don't know what this would be good for. Maybe for Tiger's Fury and IW. Most of the ranger's defensive stances are in expertise :/
Me/W: IW all the way. Most commonly use to solo. Enchantment removal will make you cry though.
Me/N: Basically anything your little heart desires. Degen, anti-warrior, anti-cast. The curses line is your friend. ^_^
