This is a quick question...
What are all the ways to get candy cane shards?
I know 2 ways:
1. Drops
2. Buy them off other people

I've heard that you can get shards from winter gifts? but they cant be salvaged...

Are those the only 2 ways to get shards?

As you said, you can get them from winter gifts as a third option. But those are the only three ways.

if the winter gift was gotten from the dark side it will go boom

the dark side also has spiked eggnog instead of regular eggnog.

get a gift from a priest and it will have one of the other items at random and a shard chance

Gifts from all collectors have the same equivalent chance at candy shards.

"Bad" gifts explode most of the time. They barely ever give ANYTHING, much less shards..

Actually sometimes i prefer the "bad" gifts. Sometimes they give you charcoal which can be pretty valuable.
