A Timer

After seeing the ribbon on skills that indicates your inability to use them with your current weapon, I thought a little timer for hexes, conditions etc. would be rather convenient. Either a miniature countdown or something similar to the skill recharge would suffice. Any thoughts? Didn’t see anything like it in the sticky…

NO...sheesh, all you have to do is not be lazy and actually look if ur skill is fully rechared. I dont wana see little numbers counting down on my skillbar....that would be just plain annoying.

I agree about numbers doing more to distract me than anything else. I can easily tell my backfire has 10 seconds left on the recharge, because the skill is half way recharged and I know it has a 20 second recharge. If you don't know the recharge times of your skills, and can't tell when you'll be able to use them, try playing with the build some more, and you will get a feel for them.
Oh, and I think that ribbon is silly. Like I don't know I can't use backbreaker with a sword

Yeah, just look at the skill recharge time, now that they've implemented that it's in the little screen when you put your mouse over the skill. If it lasts 20 seconds, half of that is 10, then 5, and what not. Plus, the skill will blink if it's about over with.

Just something minor to add.
Arcane Echo gives no indication of when it's echoed spell is about to end. Shouldn't it blink as well?
Conditions should be listed under/around/near the mobs name while they are targeted. In a mob, it can sometimes be difficult to remember upon whom you cast SS or any other Effect of Time spell.
And yes, I know about the arrows, but with a large party, an arrow can indicate any number of conditions.

Wow, the first 3 replies totally missed the guy's point. Learn to read!
He is saying, wouldn't it be nice to have a timer of sorts on conditions and hexes CAST ON YOU to know how long they have until they expire. IE, when you are backfired, the backfire hex in the upper left corner (of a standard formated screen) should somehow indicate how much longer it has until it wears off.

With a timer on hexes/conditions/enchantments cast on you, the caster's attribute level would be a dead giveaway.
