Capes!?

I'm having a hell of a time trying to get a cape. At the emblemer there's an icon for 2 materials in the corner that I don't have, and it doesn't say what they are. I'm assuming it's silk? Where does one find silk post-searing?

It's 2 platinum bars, or 2000 gold(same thing) to make a cape.

holy mother of god. how do people get them so freaking early in the game then? in pre-searing i was barely able to afford a freaking identification kit, let alone 2000 gold.

Most people you see with a cape earlier in the game either have another higher level character that they bought the cape with, have enough people in their guild that a contribution from each is enough to get the capes, or were invited into their guild with higher level players that already had capes.

If you play through a few missions/quests and sell everything you get it shouldn't take too long to get up to 2000, especially if there are one or more other people willing to help.

the 2k cost is there so every noob doesnt have his own cape :P

Since the cape does not improve character performance, it's no big deal.

Eventually you will have enough to get a cape.

I think the prices for a cape should have been a lot higher..Like, 9k.
