I leave pre-searing Ascalon asap. If you stay there too long the adjacent zones to Ascalon are too easy.

level 5+ is the best time to move into the main storyline in Seared Ascalon. That's when I went
Friar Tuck
I used to leave around lvl 5 or 6, but I stay until lvl 8 now. I like to save up a lot of money before I get to Post Searing. But that's just me. Also, I don't mind Pre-Searing that much. AFter about the fifth toon, though, it is getting a bit redundant.

As long as you can stand it.
You'll get little xp after lvl 5 from enemies.
Only quests are benficial at that point.
The key is to complete ALL your primary and secondary skill quests before you leave.

I was level 7 when I left, could have stayed longer, but it was time to move on and get on with the story
General Grievous
I left asap and i turned out alright its just whenever u feel like its time for u to go over to Seared Ascalon
Friar Tuck
I like the life in Pre-Seared. During Post-Searing I can't wait to get up to Yak's Bend. I hate the dead land. You know, I like to see the pretty trees and flowers when I'm fighting a monster. Just something poignant about that.
Of course, you know I'm just being fesicious.
