How to get rid of first Ranger Pet?

My mate has a problem with his ranger. He wants to change his pet, and he is still in pre-searing. I've heard u can get rid of your pet by going to a trainer, so you can get something else. I was wondering if there is a trainer that will do this for you in pre-searing, and if so, where are they?

There is a guy right next to the ranger trainer that first gives you the animal chram skill, that can take your pet off you.
