Well I finally got around to getting to the Bone Palace and getting 10k Ancient. Sadly it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I mean, yeah it looks nice but...I was hoping to be able to mix and match with it better and you can't. Almost every pant set clips through the trench coat at the back. Oh well.
Here's mine:
Normally I would say it's dye green + silver. But since they changed the dyes I have to dye it green + silver + grey to get it back to my original green/silver mix.
There was one upside to getting that armor however, the gloves and boots work very well with FoW I think:

I wish they didn't nerf barrage farming. I only have 60k left over which I'm saving for end game armor. Then I need at least another 200k to get the other 2 sets. On top of that, I'm going to have roughly 70 skill points I have to use which is 70plat right there... *shudders*

^ I sorta like them both but the Ancient gloves and boots makes it look like you've been infected and have some kind of disease growing on you I'm leaning towards the Ancient top with the FoW gloves and boots.

^ duncan99 - That looks really nice in red! I like how the update made the dyes actually dye what they're suppose to dye unlike before when red turned Rangers armor pink

I swear that pauldron on the right shoulder turns me off to that armor. I might just keep my Krytan chest and buy the rest.

I agree, that just looks really wierd for Rangers.

Trivial note: If that pauldron is meant to guard from arrows, they put it on the wrong shoulder if the person is a righty. You grip the bow with your support arm and pull the string with your dominant arm. And from what I have seen, all rangers in GW are right-handed, so that pauldron is useless.

Actually, you can. The spikes line up with your arm, not go past it; and unless the bow string cleaves through your inside arm like a piano wire through cheese I doubt the spikes will snag the string.

I think they need to actually have a string show on the bow because it's invisible and not cool -_-

The string shows, but it's REALLY Hard to see. I've seen it on my Ironwing Flatbow.
