Yes, Eruption and Obsidian Flame causes exhaustion, but with the attunements you should be able to spam alot of spells for a long period of time, basically as long as those enchantments are on you. Eruption is for when you see Warriors standing still attacking, it's perfect when they charge in for you because you can start with Ward of Melee and then cast Eruption, following some pain with Obsidian Flame and the blood magic. They'll be blind because of Eruption, and by that time they should be helpless. This build is mostly to penetrate warriors easily, because spellcasters such as the poor elementalist should not be afraid of a warrior charging on them, but rather excited
