Has anyone noticed the general different feels to the American and European servers?
I've recently started playing on the American servers since nobody in Europe was around to do quests at night!
What I noticed in the American servers was:
1. People were more concerned with money.
2. People didn't actually do quests, they paid others to do it. I even noticed one person say "can someone run me to the end of the game, I'll give you 10k". (lol!)
3. On the plus side, Americans were more aware of how to make a good party. I didn't hear anyone say "tank", "healer" or "nuker" in the European servers, but that was common knowledge on American districts.
On the European servers, these were the general characteristics:
1. People wanted to cooperate to do quests more.
2. There was less running.
3. There were less people.
4. People weren't quite so good at playing; there were more newbies.
Anyone else noticed these differences?

Not really. Everyone looks the same as far as I can see. I can't really go back and observe, because I have one territory change left, and I do NOT want to be stuck in Europe.
Diablo???
I wonder what the korean servers like, (flooded with bots?)

I agree with Acrylick the american servers have a different feel to the european ....First server i was on was euro and having nothing to compare it to didnt really think about it...Then i meet a friend online and he's like iam in USA district...hmmm so anyhow i go and swap...
Instantly met with a different world to the one i was used to...First and main thing i noticed is the "i did your mom last night" type comments....not really seen tonnes of that on euro servers.
Of corse less ppl on the euro servers also especially at night..& More new players -newbies- yes..( i hate the word noobs )
finally id say that the atmosphere of the euro servers is superior in a fantasy Rpg sense...
Less harsh ppl who think they are "pro"........ Less Trade or insulting Spamm and generally more of a fantasy fun feel...
Shame Euro is much less active but then maybe thats why they are more chilled ...
Iam not going to be changing much to USA lol
To follow up Thulcandra's word's I gotta be carefull swapping too much as i really dont wanna be stuck on the USA server..Its plain grim imo over there.

I think I agree!
initially I was wowed by all the players in the American districts, but soon all of the trading spam started to really get to me. I think I'm going to change back to the European servers even if there are less people, because the cooperation seems to be more prominent.

On the contrary - I went to Euro servers a few days ago - and Chrisrmas WTS spamming was bad, it didnt get that bad til hours later on the American servers. that probably had to do with Weapons being available there and not here though. (ALOT of Americans over there to buy the weapons early and sell them over here for profit I mean)
And people to do quests? since when was there ANY quest (or mission for that matter), that wasn't faster, and easier with henchies...
I have heard things are cheaper over there now though :\ More newbies = selling for w/e. American servers (especially LA) are full of scammers and people that want everything for nothing.

You think the trading spam is bad in this game? Try maplestory for five minutes in perion channel 1. The chat scrolls so fast. If someone whispered you it'd be out of the chat logs before you can expand the window. The spam in this game is absolutely NOTHING compared to that.

Funny wait till you get into a group that insults everyone that talks and face another group that does the same on another server.

Warrior: well you'll need it you noob european
Ememy Elementist: Well you suck American
Curse words come out on both sides
However I'm unaffected because I'm from Canada

you dudes realize that the trade spam mostly depends on which district you're in, right?
anyway, I'd say that right now people on the american servers are mostly concerned w/finding smelly socks, while euros are more into finding smelly cheese.
also, they spell 733t, '733tre'

It's actually very interesting.
I started out on the european servers back in june or mai and made my first level 20 toon there and enjoyed the game like any other newb back then did. I started my pre toon in europe aswell.
Then after a while and never getting favor me and some of my european friends, after having discussed how we hated having to do galrath for the 17th time just to wait for favor, decided to all migrate (a group of 6 we were back then) to the amerikan servers and the difference was striking!
The very first thing was that ascalon city had a whopping THIRTY TWO distrikts!!1. It was sooo crowded and seemed so much more alive, even in pre!! It took me a day just to map to every outpost of importance and check out what it was like there.
ofcourse we did tons of uw and fow trips (I did uw mostly, having only a ranger at level 20). The first thing I noticed when going trapping in uw was how much more skilled the players were. I had come from a place where a trapper group was 8 people cuz there was place for 8 (duh-uh :P ) and here it was a question wether or not we should take a 6th!!
Also I noticed there was more cursing between players both in PUG's and in outposts. Here in amerika you could sell (in pre) a belt pouch for 50 gold easilly while back in europe when someone started spamming WTS belt pouch 50g you'd be openly accused of scamming, saying they were only worth 30g at the most.
Also stormbows were infinityly cheaper then in europe.
Then back in oktober or so I got a second copy of gw cheap by chance and decided to keep that account on the euro server.
Also the fact that Euroserver is less crowded affects how the game is played:
If you want to do the titan source quest you'd better start recruiting in droknar, yaks, LA and AC if you want to get a group that has 4 or more human players in them
When people on the euroserver say they have a full group of 7 looking for a monk it means that they have 4 or more human players
Error=7 is more common on the euroserver, though overall doesn't happen as often as a few months ago.
I actually have had less lag on the amerikan server then on the european server, even though I'm form europe myself
As far as I can tell prices for upgrades aren't very dissimilar in price anymore (except maybe for the uw/fow items which are slightly more rare on the euroserver)
Theres more differences but they escape me atm
And I think I'm gonna be keeping 1 account on each server; playing on a different server is almost like playing a different version of gw lol

I can't quite put it all into words, but I actually prefer playing with Euros most times. Many of the people in my guild are European, and I find them to be more helpful and selfless than some of my American counterparts. This goes for Brazil and Australia as well.
I also found this to be true in Unreal Tournament, for whatever reason.

I had a months break from playing GW. Now that I started playing again, I switched to U.S. server from Europe, mainly to experiment because I couldn't find anyone to do certain Southern Shiverpeak missions with. What I've noticed so far:
-Less christmas spam (still a lot of it, but on euro servers it was just insane)
-Hell of a lot more people looking for runners (but on the other hand there are a lot more runners out there too)
-Less communication between players during missions, but less idiots too (although I haven't played long enough on U.S. servers to really know)
-Most importantly: a LOT more players in general.
I don't think I'm switching back anytime soon.
Looks like Europe has favor a lot more often than a few months ago, but I don't really mind since only one of my characters is ascended, and probably unwanted in 90% of UW/FOW groups anyway.
