Finite Number of Skillpoints? (searchy approved)

I did 2 searches and didn't find what I was looking for, honest I searched!

So I made it to Yaks Bend and bought all the skills from the skill trainer, then I found a quest that I missed and noticed the reward was 2 skills that I had bought, and I was kinda bummed...

But anyway, I know that missions give you skill points, and I had a quest that gave me one, but I was wondering, is there a finite number of possible skillpoints in the game?

Like Say there were 25 missions, 5 quests, that gave skill points.... and thats it.

Is that all there is?

The Reason I am asking is I'd like to unlock as many skills as possible with my W/E including the ones I don't intend on using (for later PvP E/M)

Then when I was done with that after Acension I was going to switch to W/N and try and get all the Necro skills... but if there is a limited number, I'll just have to switch back and make another character.

So does anyone have a Number..


Also I heard a rumor that you could get skillpoints in PvP battles, if you did particularly awesome... though I forgot where I read it.

Try not to use your skill points to "buy" skills unless you can't find them any other way. Skills are usually available as a reward for doing quests. The quest you found is not an isolated case. Look for these quests. It's MUCH cheaper than buying them. The gold cost of each skill increases with each purchase. As to the number of skill points available I don't believe there is a total number. There are a number of ways to earn them as you mentioned. Elite skills are only available by using a signet of capture to steal them from a boss monster.

Once you get to level 20 you keep gaining xp, for the sole purpose of gaining skill points. I think the number is 13,500xp to get each new skill point after that, but I could be wrong on this part.

Can ALL skills be found in places other than the skill trainer? Or will there be some you can't get from completing quests (or capturing them, whatever)?

anyone have a link to which skills can be quested and which you will have to buy if you want them?

This does not mean to say that they will be available only as such a reward, of course; you will still be able to get skills in other ways. But if you go on a quest, you may receive a skill as your reward.
