Well, while I hate it when someone tells me to use search...um, use search.
You are just asking for someone to throw out spells, skills, attributes for you?!?!
Please come in with an idea and then let the others who read your build idea "tweak" it for you. Have you tried to run any kind of build for an Ele.Mes yet? If so, post it and we'll let you know what we think. If not...get to it and come back.
That being said, I hate when no-one points me in a direction so here are two threads u can look at to get started.

hey paladin, i remember you were in a pvp match with me, i thought u were a huge noob cuz u were running the paladin build. i hope you evolved from that

anyways, fellow guild wars player, here's a build you can go with. you might need to work on getting some of these skills if you're new with either faction or doing quests.

Domination Magic: 10
Energy Storage: 8 (7+minor rune)
Water Magic: 10 (7+headpiece and a major rune)
Inspiration Magic: (rest of attribute points in here)

Skill Setup:
1.) Channeling
2.) Backfire
3.) Diversion
4.) Hex Breaker
5.) Ressurection Signet
6.) Armor of Mist
7.) Malestrom
8.) Shard Storm

thats one build. begin with channeling then hit the monk with backfire, diversion, and when you think backfire ends, use malestrom on him, and if you are in trouble, use armor of mist and hex breaker to set up a little defense for yourself. and if you must, hit the warriors that are chasing you with shard storm and with the armor of mist you should be able to move faster as well.

here's another build dedicated to screwing monks.

Domination: 11
Energy Storage: 14 (11+headpiece+major rune)
Inspiration: (rest of attribute points)

Skill Setup:
1.) Channeling
2.) Backfire
3.) Diversion
4.) Arcane Thievery
5.) Shame
6.) Shatter Enchantment
7.) Ether Feast
8.) Rez Sig

This one just cast Channeling right away and then start going down your skillbar on some monk. Caution, however, for that this is only a build that goes against monks the most. If you're the last one alive and a warrior is charging at you, you're dead meat. So make sure you take out the monk fast enough for your team to do something before they die.

I hope that helps.

Isn't diversion and backfire...kind of counter productive?

the above link is actually a darned good build if blinding flash is worked into it - (rangers and warriors are the most common classes next to mesmers and necros in CA)

fire ele's fail pretty bad now a days. if you just got the game, you got it at a pretty bad time. so many people have beaten it and they're just sharpening their already amazing pvp skills that it's hard for newcomers to compete. i got the game in june and back then, if you even saw someone in the first arena with droks armor, he was a god. now, it's no big dead at all, even elite spells are becoming common in there. hell, when i started playing, hardly anyone was giving runs, you had to do everything by yourself. that's right, you had to actually work hard back then

thats wat im hoping from the expansion, i want to start a new journey all over, of course that won't be with the case since my lvl 20 is prepped, but still, just the feeling of going thru a game without making it way too easy than intented, almost like cheating.

gah... I'd suggest learning a monk. I sense a high noob factor and a few weeks of monking normally curing that.

I had a friend running arcane echo, tridant and blurred vision. He had a some wards so I'm guessing he was water/earth/energy. Since you've played a warrior I'm guessing you'll figure out how this works. It is pressure oriented, so it will play a bit more like your warrior. I wouldn't claim it is a great build, but it is cheap effective pressure/utility. A good elementalist can take the crappiest build and play somewhat effectively. A noob can copy at top build and screw it up. (I'm giving a noob lecture, because asking for "best builds" yells noob. Take it as a teaching moment Paladin)

There is no perfect build, there are only perfect teams. If you want to CA, there are a handful of things you can do effectively easily. If you are playing anything else: learn the basic spike types, learn effecient shutdown techniques, learn defensive support, learn to work with and trust monks, and learn that you aren't a warrior.

Fire eles is not a bad idea in fact my fire ele/mes can degen anyone for 14 secs at a minus 17 and on top of that I echo with rodgarts to do a quick 200 hp da with another 6 sec of degen at minus 9 in the arenas. trust me if I am not targeted first monks, eles and mesmers fell my heat very quickly.
