the first is can you get to the rest of the map or is it just the ascalon area you can go?

I think you may need to;

1. play the game a bit further before asking questions like this.
2. restructure your sentence so we can understand it.

I seriously am not sure what the first sentence is referring to. And you really should play through the game some more...i'm sure you'll be shocked by where you travel to!
