Alright, I've searched the forums, online, and on map's and I still can't find Yak's Bend or how to get there. If someone could simply explain which direction I travel and from where I'll happily start traveling.
Thanks for any replies
How do I find Yak's Bend?

Hi
you go through the Rurik Quest, and eventually end up defending the Nolani Academy with thiose monk npcs. Nolani is, incidentally, one of the cities for the old ascalon historian quest, worth 1000xp. I spent 3 days trying to FIND nolani, as it was the last of the 3 cities I needed to end the quest. upon successfully getting to Nolani, and then entering the mission there and defending it successfully, there is a cinematic and you go to yaks bend from there

Travelling across the world is accomplished via quests and missions. If you do the quests and missions, you will eventually see the entire world.
In your case:
The Greath Northern Wall
Fort Ranik
Ruins of Surmia
Nolani Academy -- finish this mission and you will be dumped into Yak's Bend.

I forgot to mention, PRINCE Rurik, so as not to sow confusion. Follow him, he will cavalier ahead and the arrow on your map will guide you to nolani, then quest in nolani, then bam, welcome ot yak bend
I get home around 6 p.m. cetnral time (us). If you need help getting to nolani and subsequently yaks bend, i have already done it, and Id be happy to help you if you havent made it through by then

Thanks very much for the helpful replies, I figured it was based on a quest and the only two areas I've yet to travel to are the Ruins of Surmia and Nolani... I'm probably going to hit the Ruins tonight... but if I see you on SOT I'll go for a quest to Nolani. My only gripe with GW so far is the disoriented feeling at times because of no clear path and poor as-the-crow-flies arrow on the map which can't be zoomed out to see where it terminates.

Once you get "conjour flame/frost/lightning" you add +11 or so to every hit... either way, don't knock a good build which can beat a WaMo of equal skill.
You should be able to complete all the missions all the way up to yaks with just henchman at your current level. Should take you about 1.5 hours to get to Yaks doing the missions. Or, you can just grab sprint and some henchman as bait and run all the way there in about 35 minutes.

Start in post ascalon--do quests (after the first one where you give the letter to the embassador you get a northern wall quest) go to the northern wall and talk to the guy on the podium
Northern Wall Get a group and do the mission
--should dump you in fort ranik
fort ranik talk to guy on podium and get group and start mission again. this one takes you to frontier gate.
Frontier gate as soon as you spawn after the fort ranik mission, there is a guy standing in front of you with 2 quests, one of which is to go to ruins of surmia
ruins of surmia once there, get a group and start that mission. It ends with you in Nolani Academy
Nolani Academy start this mission and it will end with you in Yaks bend.
at first i didnt know the difference between missions and quests, but i noticed the mission button in the group window in northern wall and asked ppl in town about it.
I didnt go striaght thru this path, i did quests along the way, also, Grendich town is a little was north of nolani, and i definatly suggestyou go there before doing the nolani mission (you can always come back too.)
hope this helps, if not look me up in game

If you want to get to Yak's Bend without first doing the Nolani mission, follow this path:
-Start at Nolani Academy
-Head north and veer northwest at the first possible opportunity
-Proceed until you get to the Ascalon Foothills
-Go northwest around a large bend (you'll see what I mean). Just a word of warning, there are mobs here that are likely tougher than anything you've faced. Hydras in particular pack a nasty punch.
-You'll eventually come to the Shiverpeek Mountains.
-Go straight north. You'll have to deal with a couple of groups of dwarves and Ice Elementals (I think that's what they were called).
-Proceed past a large wood structure. You should be at Yak's Bend in no time.
I did this just for the hell of it before attempting the Nolani mission, and it wasn't too bad. You're a warrior, so you might want to consider equipping the Sprint skill in case any of the battles prove too tough. Sprint bailed me out a few times. Good luck! I'm Dominus Nex in game if you need any help.
